Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

This policy is intended to be clear and practical for families using SmartKid. It is not a substitute for legal advice.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how SmartKid, also referred to as Smart Kid, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when parents, guardians, and children use our website, parent dashboard, child learning experience, subscriptions, and related services.

SmartKid is designed for children to use under parent or guardian supervision. We aim to collect only the information needed to provide a safe, useful, and personalized learning experience.

2. Information we collect

We may collect parent or guardian account information, such as name, email address, login credentials, support messages, subscription status, and settings you choose in the service.

We may collect child profile information that a parent or guardian provides, such as a child’s name or nickname, age range, avatar, learning preferences, assigned courses, progress, completed lessons, exercise results, rewards, and activity history.

We may collect technical information such as device type, browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from technical data, pages visited, feature usage, error logs, and cookie or similar technology data.

3. Payment information

Payments are processed by Polar, our payment provider and Merchant of Record, and/or Polar’s payment partners. SmartKid does not intentionally store full payment card numbers.

We may receive limited payment-related information from Polar, such as customer identifiers, order status, subscription status, product or plan purchased, billing period, renewal or cancellation status, and refund status, so we can provide access and support.

4. How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, provide child learning experiences, personalize content, track progress, manage subscriptions, process support requests, improve safety and reliability, prevent fraud or abuse, analyze and improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use parent or guardian contact information to send service messages, billing or subscription notices, support replies, policy updates, and other important account communications.

5. Children’s privacy and parent rights

SmartKid is intended for children to use with parent or guardian involvement. A parent or guardian must create and manage the account and child profiles. Children should not create accounts or submit personal contact information directly without parent or guardian permission.

Consistent with children’s privacy principles, including COPPA-style protections, parents and guardians may contact us to review, correct, export, or request deletion of child profile information associated with their account.

If we learn that we collected personal information from a child without appropriate parent or guardian involvement, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information or obtain appropriate consent where required.

6. How we share information

We do not sell child personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate SmartKid, such as hosting, database, analytics, email, customer support, security, and payment-related providers.

We may share information when needed to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect the rights, safety, and security of SmartKid, our users, children, or others, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

7. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, understand how the service is used, diagnose errors, and improve SmartKid.

Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice or choices for optional analytics or marketing technologies.

8. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide SmartKid, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements.

Parents and guardians may request deletion of account or child profile information by contacting support@smartkid.com. Some information may be retained when required for legitimate business, security, tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no internet service can guarantee complete security, and users should keep account credentials confidential.

10. International and regional privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise privacy rights, contact support@smartkid.com. We may need to verify your identity or account authority before completing a request.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
